Our History: From United Expositions to United Sutton Amusements
The story of United Sutton Amusements is built on generations of carnival tradition hard work, and a deep love for the traveling Midway.
The Foundation
The journey began with Joe and Shirley Sutton, who founded United Expositions. With a vision of bringing family entertainment to communities across the country, Joe and Shirley built the carnival from the ground up. Through their dedication to safety, clean family fun, and strong community relationships, United Expositions became a household name. A trusted partner for fairs and festivals.
Growing up in the Business
For Joe and Shirley's son Paul, the carnival wasn't just a family business- it was his backyard and his classroom. Growing up on the road, Paul learned every aspect of the industry from the ground up. This hands-on upbringing gave Paul a foundational understanding of what it takes to operate a successful carnival.
The Next Generation: KP Concessions
In 2010, Paul and his wife Kate, took their knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit to launch KP Concessions. Specializing in vibrant, engaging, and honest carnival games. Paul and Kate built a reputation for delivering high-quality midway entertainment. Over the last decade, KP Concessions expanded its footprint, bringing smiles and classic carnival memories to their carnival patrons.
Going back to our Roots: United Sutton Amusements
After more that a decade operating KP Concessions, Paul and Kate reached a turning point. Inspired by the legacy of United Expositions and driven by a desire to provide a complete, full-scale amusement experience, they decided to expand.

A Classic Icon Returns to the Midway. Our Inaugural Attraction: The Eyerly Rock-O-Plane
As United Sutton Amusements returns to its full-scale carnival roots, we are thrilled to announce our very first major amusement ride: The Legendary Eyerly Rock-O-Plane. Choosing this historic attraction is a deliberate nod to our heritage. For decades, the Rock-O-Plane has been a staple of the American Midway. It has been loved by generations of thrill-seekers. It perfectly bridges the gap between the nostalgic carnival era of Joe and Shirley Sutton and the exciting future Paul and Kate are building today.
